SC9 — Street Culture With Purpose

Clothing That Builds a Skate Community

SC9 is a community‑driven skate collective, created to give children and adults of all ages, and abilities opportunity to skate in an inclusive environment. Every item of clothing you buy funds our mission: teaching skateboarding, running workshops, and building toward our long‑term goal of opening an indoor skatepark and community hub.

Our clothing isn’t just merch — it’s how we keep lessons affordable and bring positive role models into local spaces. When you wear SC9, you’re backing a movement that helps young people grow in confidence, creativity, and resilience.

Skateboarding for Everyone

We teach skateboarding in local community spaces, giving people of all ages the chance to learn, move, and connect. Our sessions help reduce anti‑social behaviour by offering positive, structured activities led by supportive role models.

Creative Street Culture

Skateboarding is more than a sport — it’s art, fashion, photography, videography, and music. Our workshops welcome anyone who wants to be part of the culture, whether they skate or not.

Inclusive, Accessible, Community‑First

We provide after‑school clubs, inclusive workshops, beginner lessons, intermediate and family sessions. SC9 exists to make street sports accessible, safe, and inspiring for everyone.

Building Toward an Indoor Skatepark

Every purchase helps us reinvest in equipment, training, and the future SC9 indoor skate facility — a safe space where the community can skate, create, and grow together.

Our clothing line is inspired by skate style, street art, and the creative energy of the community we serve. Every hoodie, tee, and accessory helps fund:

  • Skate lessons for all ages

  • Training of Skateboard GB Coaches

  • Community workshops in art, media, fashion, and music

  • The development of our future indoor skatepark

Buying SC9 clothing means you’re not just supporting a brand — you’re investing in the next generation of skaters.

About SC9 - Skateboard Club HD9

SC9 is a not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to building a fun, inclusive, and creative skateboarding community. Everything we do is rooted in the belief that skateboarding can transform lives — giving young people confidence, positive role models, and a safe place to belong. Our ethos is shaped by our commitment to the community: supporting all ages, backgrounds, identities, and abilities through skateboarding and the wider creative culture that surrounds it.

We exist to make street sports accessible, reduce anti‑social behaviour, and create opportunities for children and adults to grow, express themselves, and feel part of something meaningful.

Skateboarding Lessons for Everyone

Our sessions are led by Skateboard GB–qualified instructors who specialise in helping beginners and improvers develop real skills. We teach the fundamentals — kick pushing, stopping, balance — as well as intermediate tricks and ramp skills, always at a pace that suits each skater.

We run:

  • 1:1 lessons for personalised coaching

  • After‑school clubs that give children a safe, structured activity at a convenient time

  • Birthday parties for a unique, high‑energy celebration

  • Group sessions for all ages and abilities

  • Family sessions where parents, carers, and children can learn and skate together

Every session is designed to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

No Equipment? No Problem

We provide boards, helmets, and full pad sets at no extra cost. Nobody should miss out because they don’t have their own gear.

Skateboarding in Schools

We deliver after school skateboarding sessions. This allows us to reach young people who may never have tried skateboarding before and give them a positive, active experience without having to travel.

Where We Skate

Our lessons take place in:

  • Our private indoor venue in Honley

  • Local skateparks across the HD9 area

  • Schools and community spaces

This mix of locations helps skaters build confidence in different environments and ensures sessions can run all year round.

More Than a Sport

Skateboarding is deeply connected to art, fashion, photography, videography, and music. Our inclusive workshops welcome anyone who wants to be part of the culture — whether they skate or not. We celebrate creativity in all its forms and give people a platform to express themselves.

Our Long‑Term Vision

The long‑term goal of SC9 is to open a full indoor skatepark with a café/bar — a vibrant community hub where people can skate, create, relax, and connect. A place for events, exhibitions, workshops, and year‑round skating.

Every penny of surplus is reinvested into equipment, staff training, community sessions, and the development of this future facility.

Support the Movement

As a not‑for‑profit, we rely on community support to keep growing. Whether you want to collaborate, volunteer, donate, or help in another way, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re able to support us in any way, please get in touch — together we can build something incredible for HD9.
