We’ve had a great year so far, seeing children in our early class grow in confidence, and children in the later classes pushing the limits, with 6 different types of drop ins and getting confident on the grind rail.
Now that the summer months are upon us, we’re taking a break from the sessions in the hall and will be back on Fridays in September!
Book now to secure your space in September:
If you want to catch up with us before then, keep reading as we have some free skate socials lined up at different skateparks over the summer. Keep an eye on our socials for impromptu meet-ups too!
New Coach
We are so excited to welcome Chaz, our newly qualified coach, to the team. Charlotte has been skating with us for the past 18 months and is now a qualified SkateboardGB Coach. She has experience as a scout leader, college tutor and currently works in the construction industry teaching tradies how to drive machinery.
Dates for your Diary
You can join us for some informal skateboarding. We'll be a friendly face at the skatepark ready to help you try out your new skills.
Here’s when and where you can find us (weather permitting):

We'll be bringing a selection of skateboards, helmets, pads and ramps to set up a free try-it session in the playground. Kids and parents can have go and some of our regulars will be there to show-off their skills. We'll also have some SC9 merch available to buy.

Holmfirth Skatepark 4:30pm Wednesday 17th June
Sands Skatepark. Opposite Holmfirth Leisure Centre. The mellow features here are perfect to practise on. No need to book, just turn up.

Fridays
Sessions will be back to running on Fridays.
We've changed the Open Session to Senior Skate Club for ages 16+ and opened the Youth Skateboard Club to ages 8-16.
If you would like siblings in the same class let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate.
If you're not sure which session your child should be in, please just ask.
Parents
With cricket season over, we'll be missing the Friday night social so feel free to BYOB, chat and chill (I know it's not quite the same). Free WiFi is also available if you need to wrap up work for the week.
For parents skating in the Senior Session, a crafting table will set up to keep kids entertained so you can enjoy a skate.
