We want to say a big thank you to Sport England and The National Lottery!
SC9 is delighted to announce that we have received funding from Sport England's Movement Fund, following a successful grant application. We would also like to thank players of the National Lottery for helping us bring joy to a new generation of skateboarders.
SC9 is deeply grateful for the support which enables us to deliver FREE skateboarding lessons as an after school club.
The initiative is designed to remove barriers which prevent children, in particular girls, from taking part in sport. Our 12 week learn to skateboard programme will empower participants to believe in themselves, build confidence and support both mental and physical wellbeing.
Our first skateboard after school club is already underway at Helme CE Academy and we are enjoying seeing how excited our young skaters are to learn the free-spirited sport!
If your school is interested in hosting our FREE skateboarding after school club then please get in touch skate@scnine.com

About National Lottery

About Sport England
Sport England is a public body and invests up to £300 million National Lottery and government money each year in projects and programmes that help people get active and play sport.
It wants everyone in England, regardless of age, background, or level of ability, to feel able to engage in sport and physical activity. That’s why a lot of its work is specifically focused on helping people who do no, or very little, physical activity and groups who are typically less active - like women, disabled people and people on lower incomes.
